Replay is separate from the live board. Importing a replay does not make its result official.
Causal event log
Each event links its predecessor and pre/post state hashes. Hashes detect inconsistency; a self-contained file is not proof of who created it.
Verified competition
Balanced result score across both colors. Established ranks require 10 verified games per color, per scope and profile. Community access requires a recent /play checkers launch.
My recorded matches
Server totals use all owned matches. The recent-match list shows at most 100. Local browser history is stored separately on this device.
Rules, trust boundaries and analytics privacy
American checkers
Red moves first. Men move and capture diagonally forward. Kings move and capture in both directions, one square or one short jump at a time. A capture is mandatory whenever available. Choose any full capture sequence; taking the most pieces is not required. Reaching the king row ends your turn.
You win when your opponent has no pieces or no legal move. This web ruleset automatically draws on threefold repetition or 80 individual turns without a capture or man move.
Trust and competition
JEV uses a legal candidate set and bounded tactical search. Forced actions may need no model call. Local practice is explicitly not JEV. Official games use server-side actions, replay checks and a pinned opponent profile.
Ranked turns have a 24-hour abandonment deadline. A provider failure is a no-contest, never a player loss. External assistance is not prevented.
Analytics privacy
Core records contain game states, decisions, timings and audit hashes. JEV receives game data only—not your Discord identity. No chats, keystrokes or IP addresses are stored by this application. Hosting providers may have their own infrastructure logs.
